John got his start in the hey-day of British rock and roll playing in pub and club bands around Birmingham England as a teenager. By college days he was playing acoustic blues and folk in the clubs of northern England.
Next came 4 years on the road from Sweden to Spain with winters usually spent in the ski lodges of Switzerland.
Moving to the U.S.A. in the mid seventies he spent a year working solo and with a band in northern California from San Francisco to Tahoe.
The next 30 odd years were spent raising 3 kids and performing with his band and as a solo artist around the Boston area.
For the last 10 years he was a member of "Glass Onion", one of the best Beatles cover bands around. 3 years ago they formed a loose alliance with a great horn section, a group of college kids and friends of the Onion called "The Courthouse Horns". (see links)
Through all of this John never lost his love of sitting on a stool with his beloved old Gibson and working the crowd. Finally tiring of cold and snow he moved in the summer of 2008 to Naples Florida, a place he has visited many times and fell in love with.
John is currently performing and has a small private teaching practice.
